Refund and Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how refunds and cancellations are handled for Webshastraa's digital services, custom software projects, audits, retainers, and related work.
1. Digital Service Nature
- Webshastraa provides digital services, consulting, software development, audits, design, deployment, maintenance, and related engineering work.
- Because these services involve time, planning, research, code, configuration, meetings, and custom work, payments are generally non-refundable once work has commenced.
2. When Work Is Considered Started
- Work is considered started when we begin discovery, planning, design, code, audit review, technical research, project setup, account configuration, communication with third-party platforms, or any other project-specific activity.
- Administrative work, kickoff calls, requirement analysis, architecture planning, and resource allocation may also be treated as commencement of work.
3. Eligible Refund Situations
- A refund may be considered if payment was made but no work has started and no resource has been reserved for the project.
- A partial refund may be considered where a written milestone-based agreement clearly defines unused, unpaid, or undelivered portions of work.
- Duplicate payments or accidental overpayments will be reviewed and refunded where verified.
4. Non-Refundable Items
- Discovery fees, consultation fees, audit fees, planning fees, completed milestones, approved deliverables, and work already performed are non-refundable.
- Domain registration, hosting, cloud usage, software licenses, third-party subscriptions, API credits, premium themes, plugins, fonts, stock assets, and payment gateway charges are non-refundable once purchased or used.
- Advertising spend paid to platforms such as Meta, Google, or other ad networks is non-refundable and subject to the platform's own policies.
- Emergency work, rush work, maintenance retainers, monthly retainers, and support hours already allocated or consumed are non-refundable unless agreed otherwise in writing.
5. Project Cancellation By Client
- Clients may request cancellation by email or written message before work begins.
- If cancellation is requested after work begins, Webshastraa may retain amounts for work completed, time spent, resource allocation, third-party costs, payment charges, and administrative effort.
- If a project is paused or abandoned due to missing content, delayed approvals, unpaid invoices, or unavailable client communication, paid amounts may not be refundable.
6. Cancellation Or Suspension By Webshastraa
- We may suspend or cancel services for non-payment, unlawful requests, abusive communication, security concerns, repeated scope changes, unavailable client approvals, or breach of terms.
- If we cancel a project for reasons not caused by the client, we may refund the unused portion of fees after deducting completed work and third-party expenses.
7. Refund Process
- Refund requests must be sent to contact@webshastraa.in with payment proof, invoice details, project name, and reason for the request.
- Approved refunds are normally processed within 7 to 10 business days after written approval, subject to bank, gateway, and payment provider timelines.
- Refunds are generally issued to the original payment method unless another method is agreed in writing.
8. Disputes
- If there is a disagreement about scope, quality, payment, or refund eligibility, both parties should first attempt to resolve it through written communication.
- Jurisdiction for disputes is Delhi, India, unless a written project agreement states otherwise.
